Systems

Here you can find an overview of the main systems that will be used in the STAMPEDE2 trial - OpenClinica and the Image Repository:

OpenClinica

OpenClinica is the electronic data capture (EDC) platform used at the MRC CTU at UCL. It is accessed through the internet and supported by most commonly used web browsers (eg. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox).

The CTU will provide sites with Source Data Worksheets to help with data collection. Site staff can then enter the data into electronic CRFs within OpenClinica. Details are provided within the STAMPEDE2 eCRF Completion Guidelines, and these are available to download from the Essential Documents page on this website.

Image Repository

The Image Repository is a web-based application designed to facilitate the collection of CT (and similar) scan images in the STAMPEDE2 trial. Please see below an overview of the main tasks that the system can assist with. Details are provided within the STAMPEDE2 Image Repository Site User Guide, and this is available to download from the Essential Documents page on this website.

The system is designed to be used by research staff - this could be Research Nurses, Trial Coordinators, Data Managers or even Radiographers if you wish to cut out the middleman.

The Image Repository's primary uses are:

1. Upload and storage of CT scan images.
2. Anonymisation of image files.
3. Live schedule of expected scans.
